Your information being ready changes both of those numbers. Ten minutes is all it takes.
Cornish PL et al. Arch Intern Med. 2005;165(4):424–429  |  American Hospital Association. AHA Hospital Statistics, 2023 Edition.

Hospital admissions fail before
care even begins.

Critical information isn't ready. Not because patients don't care — because nobody told them they needed to prepare.

The ER at 2am
"Can you tell me all the medications you're currently taking?"
The honest answer nobody says out loud: I have no idea. You know there's a small white pill. You think you stopped taking the other one. Your family is scrolling through old texts looking for a pill bottle photo.
The Information Gap
"Where's your insurance card?" "Is anyone allergic to anything?"
The card is at home. You can't remember the allergy exactly — was it penicillin or amoxicillin? Nobody knows who the primary doctor is. Every missing answer slows everything down.
The Preventable Problem
Nearly half of admitted patients have at least one medication history error on record.
Not because anyone is careless. Because patients don't have their lists, recall is imperfect under stress, and the ER is not a calm environment for reconstructing prescription history from memory. This is fixable.

Fill it once.
Have it forever.

Takes about 10 minutes. Lives on your device. Works without internet — even in a basement ER.

No account required. No server to hack. No company storing your medical history. What Nobody Tells You Before You're Admitted
The scariest part of being in the hospital usually isn't the diagnosis. It's the silence between conversations. The waiting. The not knowing what the next few hours look like.

The Question Nobody Can Answer at the Worst Possible Moment
You're in the ER. A nurse is asking about your medications. And the honest answer — the one nobody says out loud — is: I have no idea. This is not a failure of memory.

Questions we hear all the time.

If something's still not clear after reading this, email us at grhodes70@gmail.com.

HIPAA applies to healthcare providers and insurance companies — not to personal health apps that store your own information on your own device. Admission Alley never transmits your data to a server, so there's nothing to regulate. Your information stays on your phone, period.

Because your data is stored on your device and not in the cloud, losing your phone means losing your Admission Alley data too. We recommend exporting a PDF of your profile periodically and saving it somewhere safe — like email or a secure folder. If you have the Share feature, your trusted contact will also have your most recent profile.

Not directly — there's no system-to-system connection. But that's actually the point. You show your care team your Emergency View or hand them your phone, and they get everything they need in seconds. You're in control of who sees it and when.

Simple. You fill out your profile, then tap "Send Update." Admission Alley sends your profile directly to your chosen person via text or email — no app account required on their end. Any time you change something, tap it again and they get the updated version. They can read it but can't edit it. No servers, no middlemen, no accounts.

Yes — almost everything works completely offline. Your profile, Emergency View, and QR code are all available with no cell service or Wi-Fi. The only thing that needs a connection is sending a profile update to your Share contact, since that goes through text or email.

Share ($14.99) is for one person managing their own profile and sending it to one trusted contact — like a mom sharing with her daughter. Family ($24.99) is for one person managing up to four separate profiles — like a parent keeping profiles for themselves, a spouse, and two kids. Each profile in the Family plan can also share independently.

All payments go through the App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment information. It's handled entirely by Apple and Google, the same way every other app purchase works.

Open the app and edit any field at any time — no restrictions, no limits. If you have the Share feature, tap "Send Update" after making changes and your contact gets the new version automatically.

Because your data lives on your device and not on our servers, nothing happens to it if we ever shut down. The app may stop receiving updates, but your existing data stays right where it is. We'd also recommend exporting a PDF of your profile as a backup regardless.

The app will be available on the App Store and Google Play globally. The content is written for a US audience, but the core function — storing your medical profile and sharing it when needed — works anywhere.

Built by someone who's
been on both sides.

As a Nurse Practitioner, I've watched the same scene play out more times than I can count. A patient arrives and the first question is about their medications. The honest answer is: I don't know. Not because they don't care — because nobody told them to be ready. The care team doesn't slow down. The information just gets reconstructed from memory, guesswork, and whoever's in the parking lot trying to help.

Admission Alley is the app I wished my patients had. Private, because your medical history is yours. Simple, because complicated doesn't get used. Free to start, because being prepared shouldn't cost anything.
